Hanuman is the mischievous and playful monkey God of love and pure devotion, dedicated completely to matters of the heart, ready to take a leap with faith for the purposes of Bhakti.
One of the Hanuman stories is about Raman’s brother being wounded while tying to save Sita from the demon who abducted her. Hanuman showed his love, dedication to the heart and devotion by agreeing to go to the Himalayas to pick a herb which would save Rama’s brother. Hanuman’s legs (here in the splits) symbolises his giant leap he took from Sri Lanka to South India as a complete devotee and instead of bringing back just the herb he brought the entire mountain.
If you could take a leap of love right now knowing it will be the best thing ever, what would you do?
